CCRI PARTNERS

The CCRI is a collaboration of the National Zero Waste Council, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, the Recycling Council of Alberta, and RECYC-QUÉBEC.

The National Zero Waste Council, an initiative of Metro Vancouver, is leading Canada's transition to a circular economy by bringing together governments, businesses and NGOs to advance a waste prevention agenda that maximizes economic opportunities for the benefit of all Canadians. By taking action on the factors that drive waste generation, the Council is supporting a high quality of life, environmental sustainability and economic prosperity while consuming fewer resources and less energy.

National Zero Waste Council

FCM has been the national voice of municipal government since 1901. Our members include more than 2,000 municipalities of all sizes, from Canada's cities and rural communities, to northern communities and 20 provincial and territorial municipal associations. Together we represent more than 90 percent of all Canadians from coast to coast to coast. FCM brings local priorities to the national agenda, and we’ve secured historic federal investments in infrastructure, housing, rural broadband and more. Our national and international programs help build local capacity on everything from climate innovation and asset management to gender parity and reconciliation.

Federation of Canadian Municipalities

The Société québécoise de récupération et de recyclage, RECYC-QUÉBEC, is a leader in responsible waste management in Québec. Created in 1990, we are a government-corporation that strives in making Québec a model for innovative and sustainable waste management. Our goal is to achieve a waste free society by promoting and developing source reduction, reuse, recovery and recycling, as well as conserving resources by creating added value from waste. Our mission is to promote a circular economy and fight against climate change by encouraging best practices in waste prevention and management.

RECYC-QUÉBEC

The RCA’s mission is to promote, facilitate and advocate for a Circular Economy in Alberta through waste reduction and resource conservation. Through a consultative approach and support of the RCA Committees and partners (i.e., government, industry, stewardship organizations and other associations) and additional stakeholders, the RCA will pursue protection of the environment through resource conservation following the 3Rs hierarchy.
